I know this project hasn't been updated in almost a year now. My financial situation has been in shambles for a very long time, so I wasn't able to continue with my NovelAI subscription, which was how I was generating the art and working with the story.

I kept it at "on hold" status nevertheless, because my intention was to continue forward with it whenever "things got better" for me. Well, instead of getting better, they got worse.

During that year lapse, I lost my main hard drive to mechanical failure. That was a setback, but the final nail in the coffin was I recently also lost my backup drive in an extremely unexpected turn of events.

With the unexpected failure of both drives, I lost 15-20 years of personal history and files, both important and relatively insignificant, that I had produced and collected over the years. Many of those were things I cannot get back, or they are impossible to replicate exactly without the original content to reference.

Among the lost items were all the resources I had generated with Novel AI, as well as project files and everything related to all of my games I have created up till this point.

I can still access the playable versions via itch just like everyone else, but without the project files that went into creating it, combined with the fact that my financial state is still dismal, there is no reasonable way to recreate this or continue progress with it.

Unfortunately, I neglected to make online backups of the project files themselves, but even if I had, the resources were numerous, and probably wouldn't have been included among them anyway.

At any rate, as my finances have not improved, all my data has been utterly lost, and it's already been a year out from the last update for this project, I've decided to just officially move on from this and my other past projects.

It's an unfortunate situation that I never imagined I would have to deal with, but I appreciate everyone's support until now, and hope you will continue to enjoy what is here, however incomplete it may be.
