With the 4th release of Petalpelago, a new pricing structure is now in place.

Release 3a has now been added as a free download version, as well as the web player version, and serves as a free demo for the story. The only part that has changed between release 3 and 3a is the outro section, which gives details on this new arrangement.

In order to get access to release 4, the full version must be downloaded instead. In addition, this means for release 4 and future releases of the main story, only a PC download version for Windows and Linux will be made available.

In release 4, Penny meets with Dinah and learns many details about the resort's operations. She stumbles upon a mysterious room, and gets to know some more of the staff members she met the night before. This update adds around 9,000 words, bringing the total for the story to over 30,000 words.

In addition to release 4, a new Petals side story is available as well.

In Petals 2: Violet's Secret Challenge, Violet meets Ari for breakfast after the night of the storm. When Penny unexpectedly joins them, Ari dares Violet to do a thrilling challenge.
